A number of people's deputies do not want to vote for a bill that will restore the independence of NABU and SAP, because of the fear of revenge-ft


The interlocutors said the people's deputies are afraid of revenge and subsequent persecution by these anti -corruption bodies.

The newspaper noted that such fears arose after an interview, which the head of the CAP Alexander Klimenko recently gave the “suspension”.

“We will analyze all situations, events, statements, all reproaches, claims to our address. We will reproduce the chronology of events in seconds and give this all the analysis,” said the head of the CAP.

However, in an interview with FT, he noted that only those who are involved in corruption schemes can be afraid of NABU and SAP.

According to him, anti -corruption bodies “are never engaged in political persecution,” and their investigations are based on “facts and evidence.”

Despite the fears of people's deputies, there is a high probability that Zelensky’s bill will be adopted, the interlocutor noted.

Context

On July 22, the Verkhovna Rada adopted bill No. 12414, which involves the expansion of the powers of the Prosecutor General, including in relation to criminal proceedings engaged in NABU and SAP. The law on the same day signed Zelensky, the document has already entered into force.

Anti -corruption bodies warned that the law gives the prosecutor general of Ukraine access to all NABU cases, he will have the right to provide instructions to detectives, and will be able to close the investigation at the request of the protection party, etc.

Since July 22, protests against the law have been held in different cities of Ukraine.

On July 23, Zelensky stated in the appeal that they would prepare a new bill to strengthen the independence of anti -corruption bodies. The president submitted the document to Rada to consider it, according to the people's deputies of Alexei Goncharenko (“European solidarity”) and Yaroslav Zheleznyak (“Voice”), parliamentarians will gather for an extraordinary meeting next week.
