Ukrainian politician, dead after colliding with Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was driving by a tractor

Yaroslav Rushchyshyn, a deputy in the supreme shave of Ukraine and entrepreneur, died following a motorcycle accident, confirmed his family for the local Tvoye Matto publication, The Kyiv Independent reports.
The accident took place on Thursday evening, around 9:45 pm, near the village of Babukhiv in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. According to preliminary information, Rushchyshyn was leading a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he lost control and hit a tractor. He died at the hospital, following the wounds suffered.
Rushchyshyn was 57 years old and was a deputy in the current legislature of the Ukrainian Parliament, representing the Holos Reform Party (Vocea). He was also a well -known entrepreneur and co -founder of the Dzyga Art Center in Lviv, a cultural space that brings together art gallery, theater and concert hall, according to the Ukrainian publication.
Rushchyshyn has held several leadership positions in the political and social sphere. Between 2006 and 2010 he was a deputy in the Liov Regional Council, immediately after the Orange Revolution. Between 2019–2021 he led the regional branch of the Holos party in Lvot.
He was one of the organizers of the 1990 Student Hunger strike, held in the Kiev Independence Square in the Granite Revolution, a defining moment for the Ukraine's independence movement. He was later actively involved in the Orange Revolution (2004) and in Euromaidan (2013-2014).
