President Duda will establish new ministers

Pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution, the ministers take their functions only after they were appointed by the president. Prime Minister Tusk expressed the hope that the ceremony will take place on Thursday, which will allow new ministers to participate in the Friday meeting of the government.

After reconstruction, the number of constitutional ministers will decrease from 26 to 21. The Council of Ministers will include three deputy prime minister-in addition to Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz (Ministry of National Defense) and Krzysztof Gawkowski (MC), this function will also be included in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski.

The changes will include key resorts. Waldemar Żurek, judge of the District Court in Krakow, will replace Adam Bodnar as the Minister of Justice. Two new ministries with an economic profile will also be created – the Ministry of Energy, headed by Miłosz Motyk (the current deputy minister of climate and environment), and the Ministry of Finance and Economy, which will be managed by the current finance minister Andrzej Domański – also taking over the competences of the current Ministry of Development and Technology.
