Olguţa Vasilescu: Maybe Nicușor Dan will convince Bolojan that the country does not stand in one man and the coalition remains standing

The mayor of Craiova, Lia Olguţa Vasilescu (PSD), says that she expects President Nicusor Dan to convince Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan that “the country does not rest on one man”. Otherwise, “we will go with the other scenarios. On Thursday, the government ministers will resign to show that there is no longer the same majority”.

“With the mandate given by 97.7% of our PSD colleagues, namely that we can no longer continue with Mr. Ilie Bolojan, beyond that are all the open scenarios, including entering the opposition,” said Lia Olguţa Vasilescu, on Tuesday evening, in a show on Romania TV, News.ro reports.
She believes that President Nicușor Dan “first of all” must “find out that there is no longer a coalition if Mr. Ilie Bolojan remains prime minister”.
“Perhaps he manages to convince Ilie Bolojan that, after all, the country does not rest on one man and the coalition remains standing. If he is not so convincing, then we will go with the other scenarios. On Thursday, the ministers of the Government will resign, to show that there is no longer the same majority. The secretaries of state and prefects will also follow (…) in the next period. I think that the resignations will accumulate and there will be submit their resignations, it depends on how quickly this happens”, added Lia Olguța Vasilescu.
President Nicusor Dan called, on Wednesday, the parties from the governing coalition for consultations, after the PSD withdrew its political support to PNL Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
