In the Krasnoyarsk Rospotrebnadzor, they told how many residents of the region complained about the bite of the gophers for the first half of 2025.

So, it turned out that all rodents attacked 41 people, including 26 children. It is noteworthy that all cases occurred on the Krasnoyarsk island of Tatyshev. Fortunately for the victims, everything ended safely – it was possible to avoid health consequences.
The department reminds that approaching and even more so touching wild animals, a person suffers himself. Various infections can be transmitted through a bite, saliva or scratches.
If the bite could not be avoided, the wound should be disinfected – wash first with ordinary water, and then treat with an antiseptic.
