A ship under the Liberian flag carrying LPG (liquefied oil gas) in the Ukrainian port Izmail failed this morning on the Sulina channel. The ship was in the meantime removed by a tug of AFDJ Galati. Circulation on the Sulina arm has not been affected, sources from Captain Tulcea announce.

The enigma ship that went to the Ukrainian port of the Danube Izmail entered the bank of Sulina arm about 5 kilometers from the city of Sulina, sources from the Tulcea captain say. The reason was a motor malfunction. The ship was restored on the waterline by a tug of AFDJ Galati. There are no important material damage and there are no injured people, say the sources within the captain.

Also, the traffic on the Sulina arm was not blocked.

The Danube flow is low

The circulation on the channel is carried out under caution, respecting the warnings issued. In the area the wind blows from the southwest direction, at a speed of 12 km/h, writes the quoted source.

According to a forecast of the National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA), until the end of next week, the Danube flow at the country's entry will reach the value of 2,800 mc/s, being below the multiannual average of July, of 5,350 mc/s.

For July, the maximum flow of the Danube is estimated at 4,000 mc/s, lower than the average multiannual value of 5,350 mc/s, and the minimum of 2,000 mc/s.

As for the inner rivers, the average daily flows will generally be decreasing, except for the medium and lower courses of the large rivers in the north and eastern of the country, where they will be increasing by propagation, InHGA also transmitted.
