Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Pieskow stated on Monday that he did not exclude the meeting of Vladimir Putin with Donald Trump, if both leaders are in Beijing at the same time in September.


Pieskow confirmed that Putin would visit China on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II organized in September, but admitted that Moscow has no information yet, or also Trump is planning to come to the PRC.
– We are preparing to travel to Beijing, our president is preparing for this journey … But we have not heard that President Trump was also going there – said Pieskow on Monday during a meeting with journalists.
Asked whether Putin and Trump could meet in the capital of China, including in a tripartite format with the Chinese leader XI Jinping, he replied: – If this happens that Trump will be there, of course, we cannot rule out that the issue of purposefulness (such) will be discussed.
On Friday, the British “The Times” said that with the warming of China-Us's relationship, speculation returned, or Donald Trump would be invited by the Chinese leader XI Jinping for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in September in Beijing.
The daily pointed out that Putin had already accepted the invitation. (PAP)
