On Friday, Radio ZET and “Newsweek” said that Sejm Marshal Szymon Hołownia visited one of the most important MEPs of Law and Justice in a private apartment – Adam Bielan. The meeting took place on Thursday before midnight in Warsaw's white stone. Then to Bielan's apartment – as the photojournalists of “Fakt” established, among others, PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński came.
Kaczyński asked at a press conference if he was satisfied with the meeting with Hołownia, he joked.
“I would like the state to agree among themselves, between editorial offices, whether it was Mr. Bielan's or mine meeting” – he said.
“As for me, I will not say that I did not talk, but because we said in full discretion (…) I will not interrupt her. Certainly they were not those matters that some guess” – said Kaczyński.
He added that he does not know why this “discretion has been, you can say, abruptly interrupted”.
“You need Poland – this word is completely justified – save. That we talked about the fact that we talked” – added Kaczyński.
Asked if he achieved his goal, he replied: “I can say yes. This is politics, step by step. When we go, I will be happy“.
Hołownia on Friday in the post on platform X assessed that “intensification and excitement” related to the meeting are neither justified nor indicated.
“I am one of the few politicians in Poland, who – I emphasize – regularly meets representatives of both deadly camps.
On Friday, the meeting of Prime Minister Tusk took place with the leaders of the coalition groups: Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz (PSL), Szymon Hołownia (Poland 2050) and Włodzimierz Czarzasty (Nowa Lewica), at which he presented them with proposals for the reconstruction of the government, which would be reached in mid-July. “As you can see, maintaining a coalition is difficult, but possible, as well as the reconstruction of the government and agreeing the strategy that will allow you to go to the offensive after losing in the presidential election. Of course, it requires courage and loyalty. Despite the difficulties you know, I will accomplish this task” – commented on Saturday the head of government on Platform X.
