The URE indicated in a statement that recipients in households served by PGNiG OD, in addition to gas prices and subscription fees, also pay distribution fees.
“This means that the effect of implementing the approved tariff today translates only into a part of the gas fuel consumption, and thus the change on the entire account will be lower than 14.8 percent, due to the unchanged rates of subscription fees and fees for the gas fuel distribution service” – it was written.
The new Tariff for PGNiG will be in force for the sale of gas fuels from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
The total gas bill paid by recipients in households consists of: gas fuel fees, subscription fees and fees for the gas fuel distribution service based on fees from the fees from the tariff of the distribution system operator (e.g. PSG).
The President of the Energy Regulatory Office approves the tariffs for sales (only for recipients using gas for the needs of households and recipients carrying out important tasks in the field of public utilities) and the services of its distribution (for all groups of recipients).
Most recipients in households served by PGNiG from the distribution fee are most often incurred – due to the scale of the company's operation – according to the tariff of the Polish Gas Company.
In accordance with applicable regulations, tariffs for the sale of gas to customers in households and recipients carrying out important public utilities, the regulator will approve for the last time for 2027.
