Among the categories with the largest number of job advertisements were the date (9.7 percent of the total number of ads), Java and JavaScript – in turn 9.4 percent. and 8.3 percent Analytics, Devops and Python specialists were also desirable by employers. The artificial intelligence and machine learning category (AI/Ml) recorded high growth dynamics, where the greatest acceleration in the number of offers added took place in April, May and June.

“The Polish IT market in the first half of 2025 reflects the global expansion related to the development of artificial intelligence. 68 – percentage increase in offers on justjoin.it in relation to the same period last year is the result of 'AI fever'. The companies are currently intensively implementing AI and automate business processes. Advanced programming is becoming the bikes of growth, “said Paweł Baraniewicz, Head of Engineering at Justjoin.it.

It was indicated that in the first half of 2025 specialists at the senior level were dedicated to the largest number of offers – 52.3 percent, Midom 41.8 percent. all ads, and juniors, as in previous periods, only 5.9 percent. However, it is worth noting that Despite the low percentage share, the offer for juniors increased by 20 percent. compared to the first half of the previous year.

“What's more, despite much greater demand for seniors, juniors were also much more active in terms of recruitment, applying more than twice as often as more experienced specialists” – it was written.

The first half of 2025 also brought increases in remuneration in the IT industry. The average salary was PLN 22,769 – by 12 percent more than a year ago in the same period (PLN 20,376). Java, JavaScript, Security, as well as Architecture, Devops and Data still belong to the highest paid specializations.

Seniors in the best paid categories achieved record earnings. Java developers earned on average from 30,000 PLN on B2B up to 41 thousand PLN at UOP, JavaScript specialists between 22.6 thousand PLN for UOP and 29 thousand PLN on B2B – while recording the largest wage increases.

In turn, Security experts from 24.5 thousand PLN (UOP) to 27 thousand PLN (B2B), although the wage growth dynamics in this category slightly slowed down. High rates were also offered IT architects (on average PLN 27,000 per UP and PLN 30,000 per B2B), Devops specialists (PLN 26,000 for UOP and B2B) and data analysts (PLN 23.5 thousand per UP and PLN 26,000 per B2B).

The market paradox is manifested in the disproportion between demand and supply: Although over 52 percent Offers are addressed to experienced specialists, juniors apply twice as often. This indicates a structural problem – the lack of experienced specialists while the beginning of beginner programmers, displaced by AI solutions. In the long term, however, the lack of juniors can mean the lack of seniors tomorrow, “said Paweł Baraniewicz.

It was reported that the hybrid model was the first time dominated by the IT labor market – it was offered most often (47.1 percent of offers) ahead of the full remote work (46 percent). Only less than 7 percent The position required the employee's presence in the office.

A spectacular increase in the number of offers by 68 percent shows that the industry has not only made up for the losses, but is entering a new phase of development powered by artificial intelligence. In the second half of the year, we expect even greater acceleration in the AI/ML area and the market consolidation around the most desirable specializations, “said Piotr Nowosielski, CEO Justjoin.it.

“Companies will fight more and more aggressively for seniors, while raising the bar for juniors. It is also possible that the hybrid model will become a standard in IT, completely displacing remote and stationary work” – he added.

All data comes from the analysis of offers published on Justjoin.it in the period from January 1 to June 30, 2025 (PAP Biznes)
