On Wednesday, the Warsaw -Prague District Prosecutor's Office initiated an investigation into the insulting of Jews and hate call during the Monday debate of presidential candidates. It's about the presidential debate of “Super Express”.

A spokesman for the Warsaw – Prague District Prosecutor's Office Norbert Antoni Woliński announced that an investigation was initiated in the case “made on April 28 at 10 Jewelerska Street in Warsaw (where a debate was held – PAP) public insulting the Jewish group of the Jewish population due to its national affiliation and public hatred of hatred against the background of national, ethnic and religious differences”.
It is about the words of the presidential candidate Grzegorz Braun (MEP excluded from the confederation) during the debates transmitted by nationwide television stations in “SE”, during which Braun used comparisons and wording referring to the followers of Judaism.
As he said, “glory to God” Poland does not bordinate with the “Jewish state in Palestine.” He assessed that “then a genocidal policy advertised by ministers, rabbis and generals of the State of Israel could easily turn against us.” He also added that “the State of Israel is made to Poles as an ally, as some aircraft carrier of European civilization in the Middle East.” He also criticized Israel for actions against Palestinians.
He turned to the candidate of Ko Rafał Trzaskowski in the words: “A few days ago you were of a Jewish daffodil, this sign of disgrace,” he said, referring to the anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. “What are you talking about? What disgrace? It was an uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto. What are you talking about? These are the heroes of our history. This is something unbelievable. I will not listen to it” – replied Trzaskowski, then turned and left the rostrum before the time he intended.
The candidate of the new left Magdalena Biejat announced after the presidential debate that she would report to the prosecutor's office to Braun. “For hate speech, for spreading aggression,” she said.
Also, the Center for Monitoring of Racist and Xenophobic behavior announced that it would submit a notification to the prosecutor's office in this case.
At the end of October last year, the head of MS, Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar, submitted to the chairwoman of the European Parliament Roberta MetSoli a request to repeal the immunity of MEP Braun, who is suspected in total for seven crimes.
