In Krasnoyarsk, a holiday of Russian culture will be celebrated, dedicated to the Day of Baptism of Rus', the city administration reports. The event will be held on July 26 in the Sunny Polyana park. The sites will work from 16:00 to 22:00.
The city hall promises a lot of entertainment. The celebration will begin with the program “Russian Culture for All Times”, performances of the folk instrumental group “Siberia-Band” and ensembles “Siberian Vechora”, “Svetoch”, “Living Old”, “Red Yar” and others. Krasnoyarstsev promise to immerse in Russian folk art, tell them about traditions and customs, conduct master classes and contests. Interactive sites will work for small citizens. The organizers prepared for family leisure funny relay races, floor games, thematic quizzes, coloring and puzzles. Children will be able to get acquainted and make friends with different fairy -tale heroes.
On this day, the owner of the longest braid will be determined, they will celebrate the original sundress in the Russian style and find the richest beard. Registration of competition participants will be held at the location next to the “hay” photo zone from 16:00 to 18:00. The organizers also invite the daredevils to engage in the bench press in the 16-kilogram weight in the contest “Bogatyr Force”.
Also at the holiday, craftsmen will be presented: products from birch bark, embroidery, copper and beads, and many others.
“Once again we want to show the whole variety of Russian culture, especially very small Krasnoyarsk residents who will come to this holiday. It unites people of different ages and views. This suggests that the culture of all brings us closer. And the most important thing that we can be proud of our rich folk art, which will also be presented at the event, ”said Lyubov Sakharov, head of the Main Directorate of Culture.
