Germany wants to strengthen the air defense of Ukraine annually and supply 480 infantry cars to Kyiv – the media


As the media noted, specific guarantees for security guarantees on September 4 will be proposed by the Government of Germany.

Berlin proposes to increase the capabilities of Ukrainian air defense by 20 percent annually, as well as cooperate in the production of Ukrainian cruise missiles, noted the media.

In addition, Germany plans to arm four Ukrainian mechanized brigades. This will include the supply of 480 infantry vehicles, including armored personnel carriers, annually.

However, Germany has not yet assumed obligations to send its troops to Ukraine as part of the peacekeeping forces after the future truce.

After the summit of European leaders with American President Donald Trump in Washington on August 18, American and European officials began to develop an offer providing Security guarantees For Ukraine. On September 4, a meeting of the “Coalitions of those who wish” was held in Paris with the participation of the head of the Ukrainian state Vladimir Zelensky, at which security guarantees for Ukraine were discussed. European leaders held a conversation with Trump after the summit.

The Chancellor FRG Friedrich Mertz also joined the online format. Its participants discussed in detail the readiness of each of the countries to “make a contribution to ensuring security on Earth, at sea, in the air and in cyberspace,” said Zelensky. The meeting also “coordinated positions and discussed the components of security guarantees,” the Ukrainian president added.
