The prosecutor's office prevented the sale of an apartment with a Krasnoyarsk, which fell under the influence of scammers

In Krasnoyarsk, thanks to the timely intervention of the prosecutor's office, the 74-year-old victim of telephone scammers did not lose the apartment.

At the end of June, the department received a message from one of the largest real estate agencies in the city that a pensioner turned to them with a request to help her sell the only housing as soon as possible.

The prosecutor's office immediately organized an audit and found out that within a month a woman talked with cyber abusions. They inspired their victim that she was a defendant in a criminal case of transferring money to an unfriendly country. To prevent “sad consequences”, scammers convinced the Krasnoyarsk to transfer 1.6 million rubles to the fake “safe score”. Having received the desired amount, the scammers reported that the woman’s housing was sold, and in order to return it, it was necessary to “create an encumbrance of the apartment and transfer it to municipal property.” For this, the victim turned to the realtor.

“Thanks to the timely intervention of the prosecutor's office, the transaction did not take place and it was possible to maintain the property of a pensioner.
