Politicians thank Maja Chwalińska. “The whole of Poland is proud of you”

Maja Chwalińska lost to the eighth-seeded Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva 3-6, 2-6 in the final of the French Open Grand Slam tournament on clay courts in Paris. She had to get through the qualifications to reach the main tournament.
Politicians, including the Prime Minister and ministers, thank the Polish tennis player Maja Chwalińska, who fought in the final of the French Open tournament on Saturday.

Minister of Sport and Tourism Jakub Rutnicki emphasized that Chwalińska is an inspiration for young athletes, including: in terms of fight, character and steadfastness. “The whole of Poland is proud of you,” he added.
Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz assessed that Chwalińska's history teaches that “you can never give up, you always have to fight.” “Today is the day of her huge success,” he added on X.
The vice-president of PiS, the party's candidate for prime minister, Przemysław Czarnek, emphasized that Maja won “the hearts of fans, the respect of rivals and a place in history.”
“For us, you are a big win,” KO MP Elżbieta Polak wrote to Chwalińska.
“Thank you,” Urszula Rusecka from PiS wrote briefly.
24-year-old Chwalińska was the fourth Polish tennis player to play in the decisive singles match at the Grand Slam. Chwalińska's performance in the final means that she will be 21st on the WTA list on Monday. Previously, she had never been in the top 100. Andreeva will jump to sixth.
