Sorin Grindeanu proposes “monthly targets” for the new management of ANAF. “If they are not touched, I will be the first to request the dismissal.”
Sorin Grindeanu said on Thursday that it is mandatory that with the fiscal consolidation measures announced, there will be monthly targets for the new management of ANAF regarding the increase of the collection degree and the amounts recovered from the great evasionists.

Adrian Nicușor Nica is the new president of the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF), the appointment decision, signed by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, being published on Wednesday in the Official Gazette.
“ANAF has, yesterday (July 2 no), a new president. I understood perfectly the reasons why the Prime Minister assumes a new leadership of the Treasury, key institution for applying the tax package announced yesterday. Romanians can not only receive explanations, but quick results! Therefore, all the correct taxpayers – both the population and the entire business environment – must see a major change of attitude of the tax, that is, concrete effects in the fight against the great tax evasion and all those who fraud. Otherwise, for good reason, people will say that the tax burden is also put on those who pay their taxes honestly. I think, however, is absolutely mandatory as with Fiscal consolidation measures announced by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan There are also monthly targets for ANAF leadership in terms of increasing the degree of collection and the amounts recovered from the great evasion (especially VAT)', Grindeanu wrote on Facebook.
The interim president of the PSD added that he hopes that the new president of the Treasury will fully understand the huge responsibility of his position and to act accordingly.
“Romania can only afford to find that there are almost 50,000 companies registered on a list of overlapping addresses, totaling debts of almost 30 billion lei to the state budget. I expect to see ANAF control teams at all these addresses and constant communication with public opinion on the results of these controls! ”, has added it.
Sorin Grindeanu also gave an ultimatum to the management of ANAF: “PS if, in two consecutive months, the targets will not be reached, I will be the first to request the dismissal of the tax.”
