The agreement on the Gaza Strip will be reached “next week” – said Donald Trump on Tuesday in an interview with journalists. He added that he would discuss the “great success” of the US and Israel in Iran.
Netanyahu announced on Tuesday that in Washington he would also talk about a new trade agreement between the two countries.
The Israeli prime minister informed that – in addition to Trump – he would also meet with the Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete HegeSthem, Secretary of Trade Howard Lutnick, Middle East Messenger Steve Witkoff and parliamentarians.
This will be the third visit of Netanyahu in the White House from the swearing in Trump for the second term in January this year. In May, the American president went to the Middle East on his first longer trip abroad, but he did not visit Israel at the time.
According to the Israeli media, Netanyahu is to fly to the USA on Saturday evening.
A week ago, Trump announced a suspension of a weapon in a conflict between Israel and Iran. The purpose of the Israeli operation was to eliminate the threat from the Iranian nuclear program and arsenal of the ballistic missiles of this country. The US joined the conflict, which carried out one raid for Iranian nuclear centers. Both Trump and Netanyahu announced that the offensive against Iran was a great success of both countries, which results in this operation – a serious weakening of the Tehran nuclear program.
