Strong fire at a house in Ghimbav, Brașov county. 25 people have self-evacuated from endangered homes

A strong fire broke out on Monday evening, June 30, at a home in Ghimbav, Brașov county. The flames endanger several houses nearby. Firefighters intervene with increased forces to extinguish the flames, while 25 people have self-evacuated from the area.

“We were announced about the outbreak of a fire at a house located in the town of Ghimbav, Brasov county. Four water and foam extinguishing vehicles, a water and a SMURD crew, were emerging on the scene. The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Brașov transmitted, according to News.ro.
According to ISU, the fire manifests itself violently, with large smoke releases, on an area of about 200 square meters. The fire has an increased risk of expansion, due to the proximity of other buildings. No victims have been reported.
SMURD Brasov representatives said that the intervention is in progress: “The operative crews work for the location and liquidation of the fire, but also for the protection of the neighboring houses. Due to the risk of propagation, about 25 people have self-evacuated from the affected home and from the houses in the immediate vicinity.”
Firefighters make efforts to limit the fire and avoid even greater damage. The mission is dynamic.
Another tragedy happened tonight in Brasov, this time in the municipality. A three -year -old child has suffered serious injuries and is in critical condition after falling from the fifth floor of a housing block located in Brasov, on the 13th December street in the Coresi area (Isaran). The victim was urgently transported to the Pediatric Hospital, being in very serious condition.
