The prime minister added that according to the government resolution taken many months ago, each ruling of this chamber is published with additional information about the legal status, “and therefore about the defectiveness of the appointment of this chamber.” “We do not recognize the judgments of this chamber as legally flawless” – added the head of government.
He emphasized that the government will treat the ruling of the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs regarding the presidential elections, as in the case of previous rulings.
“From assessing whether the elections are important or not the Supreme Court is important” – said Tusk.
“It is bad that it was invented so in the time of PiS, that in the Supreme Court the Chamber is dealt with according to many, according to me, the prime minister noted.
“However, this is not possible and I would also like it to reach everyone, that the Supreme Court would be replaced in this case, i.e. recognition of the validity or invalidity of the election by the prosecutor's office or the government,” said the prime minister.
He emphasized that the prosecutor's office's task is to check all cases where irregularities or a crime could have occurred. “It is experts and the general prosecutor who will determine in what number, how many committees will be converted in any more committees. But I emphasize once again, the prosecutor's office is not to assess whether the elections are important or not” – said Tusk.
