Bosch announces giant investments in AI


The company's representatives emphasize that Bosch has been patenting over 1.5 thousand over the last five years. solutions using AI, which makes him one of the leaders in Europe. Now the concern wants to accelerate with investments in artificial intelligence.
“Bosch wants to use the advantages of AI, among others in the area of assisted and automated driving. The company has no doubt that automated driving is the subject of the future. B.Szystch already offers appropriate solutions, and according to forecasts, the sale of software, sensor technology, high -performance computers and network components will double and reaches a value of over 10 billion euros to the middle of the next decade. AI is used in automated driving for visualization of the environment around the vehicle and planning the route. Thanks to this, the system provides for the behavior of other traffic participants and suggests subsequent activities so that passengers reach their destination safely. AI increases not only safety, but also significantly reduces the time of developing new products, “we read in Bosch's communiqué.
In the production of Bosch, it is concentrated at the next stage of the development of artificial intelligence: AI (Agentic AI) agents, i.e. assistants capable of making their own decisions and actions. “Agents can give AI an impulse similar to what smartphone has given to the Internet” – says Tanja Ruuckert, a member of the board of Bosch.
The Bosch concern reported that it also invests in the development of its employees and conducts training in artificial intelligence at the AI Academy. Since 2019, over 65,000 have been trained. people, and currently nearly 5,000 AI specialists are working on intelligent solutions in the company. Artificial intelligence skills will be necessary in the future on the labor market, not only in Bosch.
