Truck overturned on a national road in Gorj after colliding with a car. One of the drivers died
A TIR and a car were involved, Saturday morning, May 9, in a road accident on DN 66, in the town of Tânțareni, Gorj county. The first information shows that one of the drivers died, the other was seriously injured. Road traffic is diverted on a county road, the Infotraffic Center announces.

Road traffic is blocked in both directions on DN66, in the area of Tântăreni, Gorj, following a road accident that occurred in the morning of May 9, in which a train and a car were involved.
Following the collision, the driver of the car suffered serious injuries, being transported to the hospital, while the driver of the train is incarcerated, without vital signs.
Two rescue vehicles and a SMURD ambulance, as well as an ambulance from the County Ambulance Service, went to the scene, the intervention crews found that, following the impact, the train overturned, blocking both directions of travel, and the driver was incarcerated.
“Our colleagues intervened to extract the man from the vehicle, but unfortunately, despite the efforts of the intervention crews, nothing could be done to save him. The driver of the car suffered multiple injuries, was taken over by the intervention crews, medically evaluated and stabilized, and was later transported to the hospital. Traffic on this road section is diverted, and work is currently being done to clear the truck and the load on the side carriageway”, according to ISU Gorj.
