The government has “firmly condemned” the songs at the Glastonbury Festival of the Rapk Bob Vylan band, in which the “death” of the Israeli army is required and were broadcast live by the BBC, according to news.ro.

Rapper Bobby Vylan chanted “Free, Free Palestine” and “Death, Death for IDF [Forţele de Apărare Israeliene]”During the show, which came just before Belfast's Rap Kneecap trio.

A BBC spokesman said some of the comments were “deep offensive”, adding that he had issued a screen warning about “very powerful and discriminatory language.” The songs will not be able to be reviewed on the BBC IPlayer.

The police said they are examining the video recordings of the comments made by Bob Vylan and Kneecap to decide if crimes have been committed.

“The Glastonbury Festival does not approve the instigator speech or incite to violence of any kind from its artists,” the organizers of the event said.

After Bob Vylan's show, a government spokesman said that the Minister of Culture, Lisa Nandy, spoke with the general director of the BBC, Tim Davie, to request an “urgent explanation regarding the necessary diligence” that the broadcaster performed before the concert was broadcast.

The government added that he welcomes the decision not to relay the show on BBC IPlayer.

Bob Vylan sang on the West Holts stage of the festival before the Rap Kneecap group.

The group held the first page of the newspapers in recent months after the rapper Liam óg ó Hannaidh, known by the Mora stage name, was accused of terrorism for shaking Hezbollah forbidden terrorist organization last year. He denied the accusation.
