The US President Donald Trump rejected the information in the press on Friday that his administration had discussed the possibility of helping Iran get up to $ 30 billion in building a civilian nuclear program, writes Reuters.

CNN reported on Thursday, and NBC News reported on Friday, citing sources, that the Trump administration has explored in the last days possible economic incentives for Iran in exchange for cessation by the Iranian government of the Uranium enrichment program.

CNN cited officials who stated that several proposals were launched, but they were preliminary.

“Who is the bastard of the fake press who says” President Trump wants to give Iran $ 30 billion to build non-military nuclear installations “? I have never heard of this ridiculous idea,” Trump wrote on Friday night, qualifying the information as a “farce.”

Since April, Iran and the US have held indirect discussions in order to find a new diplomatic solution on Iran's nuclear program.

The Tehran states that his program is peaceful, and Washington says he wants to make sure Iran cannot build a nuclear weapon.

Trump announced earlier this week an armistice between the US, Israel, and his regional rival, Iran, to stop the war that started on June 13, when Israel attacked Iran.

The conflict between Israel and Iran has triggered tension in a region already tense since the beginning of the Gaza war, in October 2023.

The US hit the Iranian nuclear goals last weekend, and Iran responded Monday, attacking an American base from Qatar, before Trump announces ceasefire.

Israel is the only country in the Middle East, which it is believed to have nuclear weapons and has stated that its war against Iran aims to prevent Tehran from developing its own nuclear weapons.

Iran is a part in the Treaty of nuclear non -roliferousing, while Israel is not. The UN nuclear control agency, which carries out Iran, said it has no “credible clues” on the existence of an active and arming coordinated program.
