Data management has become vital for Russian companies. One of the main factors of their development is the ability to effectively collect and accumulate large volumes of information, as well as identify correlations in them.
Another noticeable tendency is an increase in cybersecurity. Such conclusions were shared by Dmitry Kharitonov, First Deputy General Director of IT Holding T1 at the PMEF-2025.
According to the speaker, the transition to the date-centric model is especially clearly manifested in the key sectors of the economy. This trend is confirmed by the joint study of T1 and the Skolkovo Foundation, the results of which Dmitry Kharitonov shared at the session “Digital Economy: Strategic Business Initiatives”. Among the technological priorities of Russian companies are generative AI, forecast analytics and big data analysis. It is they who today become key drivers of maintaining competitiveness and business development.
In retail, the analysis of data allows you to study customer behavior in detail, which leads to optimization of queues and accelerating the sale of goods. In industry, digital doubles and analytical modules as part of the APS of the TP are used for operational processing of telemetry and making production decisions. And in logistics, data are used in order to predictive analysis of the technical condition of the rolling stock and redirect the logistics chains.
Sphere trends were also discussed at the sessions “How big data make the economy smarter.” The speaker noted that the security of the information has become an integral part of the “hygiene” of the business and requires new approaches to the construction of cyber protection.
“Today, companies using big data are more competitive. At the same time, it is critical not only to accumulate arrays of information, but also to ensure a high level of security. Russian business has switched from classic storage facilities to lakes, learned to work simultaneously with structured and unstructured data, use count bases and other complex analytics. Further development in this direction can open fundamentally new models and approaches for cross-behavioral analytics of customers, ”said Dmitry Kharitonov.
