Thus, the head of the Ukrainian state responded to the Kremlin’s message that the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin decided to declare a truce from 16.00 on April 11 until the end of the day on April 12 in connection with Easter.
“Ukraine has repeatedly stated that we are ready for mirror steps,” Zelensky recalled.
According to him, Kyiv proposed a ceasefire this year during the Easter holidays and will “act accordingly.”
“People need an Easter without threats and a real movement towards peace, and Russia has a chance not to return to blows even after Easter,” the president emphasized.

The President of the Ukrainian state spoke about Ukraine’s readiness for a truce at Easter (as well as to stop attacks on the energy sector) back on March 30. However, at the time the Kremlin claimed that they did not see a “clearly formulated initiative” in his proposal.
