Calin Georgescu, called today to the General Prosecutor's Office to be heard

Calin Georgescu was cited on Friday at the General Prosecutor's Office to be heard in connection with the fact that he reproduced on a television station a quote from the former legionary leader Corneliu Zelea Codreanu, judicial sources said for AGERPRES.
According to the quoted sources, Georgescu's meeting with the prosecutors was set for 10:00.
On May 27, Georgescu was called to the Prosecutor's Office, where the prosecutors announced that the criminal prosecution was extended, after the former candidate for the presidential elections reproduced to a television station a quote from the former legionary leader Zelea Codreanu.
Georgescu is under judicial control of February 26, having several prohibitions, including the country without approval of the judicial authorities, and is not allowed to post on the social networks with a legionary, fascist, anti -Semitic or xenophobic character.
He is being prosecuted for committing six crimes, the most serious being that of notifying actions against the constitutional order, in tempted form, being accused of having set up a plan to destabilize Romania with the help of the mercenaries led by Horațiu Potra, after the Constitutional Court annulled the results of the first round.
On March 9, the Central Electoral Office invalidated the candidacy of Călin Georgescu to the presidential, being invoked the decision of the Constitutional Court of December 2024, by which the elections in the first round were annulled.
