The Polish gas company has signed the seventh contract for investment co -financing under the Feniks 2021-2027 program. The project of modernization of the gas network in Silesia received over PLN 44 million of support. The total value of EU funds obtained by PSG for infrastructure investments has already exceeded PLN 1 billion.

On June 27, the Polish Gas Company concluded with the Institute of Oil and Gas – the National Research Institute of another funding agreement. This time, the funds will be allocated to the implementation of the project “Modernization of the gas network in the Częstochowa agglomeration”, co -financed under the European Funds program for infrastructure, climate, environment 2021–2027 (Phoenix). For this purpose, PSG will receive over PLN 44 million, which is a significant part of the total cost of the investment, estimated at approx. PLN 73 million – the company said in a statement.
The main purpose of the investment is to ensure the safety and continuity of gas supply for current recipients and to create conditions for connecting new customers. The project provides for construction over 42 kilometers of modern gas network in the Myszków poviats (municipalities of Myszków and Koziegłowy) and Częstochowa (Poczesna communes, Kamienica Polska, Mykanów and Rędzina) and in Częstochowa itself.
Thanks to this agreement, the total value of EU funds obtained by PSG for infrastructure investments exceeded the amount of PLN 1 billion. Until now, the company has obtained PLN 622 million from the Feniks program and nearly PLN 382 million from the National Plan of Reconstruction and Increased immunity.
– By implementing further gas investments, we are primarily guided by the concern for final recipients – we want the network development not to translate into the increase in costs incurred by customers. Therefore, we attach special importance to obtaining external funds. It is thanks to them that we can expand modern gas infrastructure, minimizing financial burden for users – he emphasizes Arkadiusz Kazana, for the president of the management board of the Polish Gas Company.
PSG points out that he is consistently seeking further subsidies. According to the company in a statement, only as part of the Feniks program prepared applications for co -financing for a total of PLN 1.5 billion, of which it plans to obtain approx. PLN 1.25 billion by the end of 2025. This is five times more than in the previous EU perspective.
