A participant in the expedition at the North Polyus-42 drifting station, located in the Arctic Ocean, suddenly became bad. She needed urgent medical care.
The helicopter with a doctor flew to the sanitary flight from the hospital “Ice base of Cape Baranov” on the Archipelago North Earth. He overcame the distance of about 1.3 thousand km and landed on the ice platform.
The patient was taken to Hatanga, where an ambulance was already expected by a helicopter. They took the woman to the Taimyr district hospital. The total flight time was more than 10 hours. Now the patient's condition is stable. Her life does not threaten anything.
