According to him, these guarantees may resemble Art. 5 NATO – that is, American security obligations for members of the “coalition of the willing.” In Art. Article 5 of the Washington Treaty states that if one NATO member state becomes the victim of an armed attack, the remaining NATO member states will consider this an attack on all NATO countries and will respond to it.
He noted that before any agreements on disputed territories, Ukrainians must receive full transparency regarding what security guarantees the United States and European countries can provide.
