Today was revealed the new official ball for the Premier League matches, created by Puma. It will be used since the first stage of the new season, on August 16th.
Premier League has, starting today, a new official game ball. Called “Puma Orbita Ultimate Premier League”, the ball consists of twelve panels of equal size, ensuring a uniform weight distribution and a perfect balance.

“The deeper and more pronounced seams improve the aerodynamics, keep the shape and offer better control at each shot, regardless of the type of land or the weather conditions,” the specialists who have tested the ball so far.
Will Brass, the commercial director of Premier League, said: “The launch of the new ball, which will be used for the first time in the Premier League Summer Series, marks the beginning of a new chapter full of enthusiasm. We can hardly wait to see the ball in action, offering memorable goals and unforgettable moments for players and fans alike. ”
For his part, Richard Teyssier, Puma representative, pointed out: “On average, a professional footballer controls the ball about 109 seconds per match, so every moment matters and must be transformed into a memorable moment.”
The official ball will make its field debut at the Premier League Summer Series, which will take place in July, in the US, and will be used in the first stage of the new season of the Premier League on August 16th.
In addition, with the launch of the ball, the “Premier League Kicks” program will be started, an initiative dedicated to girls and women in football, along with other international community involvement projects.
