Ukrainian drones hit Saratov. An important refinery is on fire

On the night of May 30-31, around At 3 a.m., residents of Saratov, located in the southeastern part of European Russia, heard a strong explosion. Ukrainian Pravda reports that attack drones hit the local oil refinery. Reports indicate that the isomerization installation was damaged.

Photos and recordings appeared on social media showing the fire and a thick cloud of smoke rising from the plant.

Local authorities have not yet commented on the effects of the attack. The governor of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, only warned that there was a threat from unmanned aerial vehicles in the region.

The refinery in Saratov is part of the Russian state oil company Rosneft. It is also one of the oldest refineries on the Volga, which supplies fuel to Russian troops.
