B-2 aircraft are the only ones in the world that can carry the type of bomb with a huge weight, used against Iran nuclear installations. It is not known how many such aircraft own. Starting from the idea that there are few, when it was seen that some of the B-2 took off over the Pacific, that created confusion. In fact, another squadron left for Atlantic, through the east, crossed Europe to the south and Africa to the north, above the Mediterranean, to reach about 18 hours above the targets.
The Pentagon has characterized the US attack on Iran as “the biggest operational attack of B-2 aircraft in US history.” The operation was designed to deceive the vigilance of the Iranian army, notes Fox News.
The Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said that “the size of the operation was intentionally limited”, adding that the American army has “almost unlimited” capabilities.
General Dan Caine, the chief of the General Staff, detailed the chronology of the operation and the poisoning techniques used on the attack on the nuclear installations from Fortow, Natanz and Isspahan.
The United States attacked Iran. Iranian nuclear sites, hit with bombs and rockets to Trump's order / first reaction of the technic: waves of Iranian rockets on Israel and threats to Americans
Bombers, escorted by dozens of other aircraft
The operation began when the B-2 undetectable bombers took off from the Whiteman air base at Local time 12.01 of Saturday. Some of the bombers flew to the west, in the Pacific area, like a fake target. Caine said it was “an effort of intoxication known to a very small number of leaders.”
The main striking force, made up of seven B-2 spirit bombers, each with a crew from two people, flew to the east, with limited communications as far as possible, for 18 hours.

The aircraft were realized in flight several times, and once they arrived above the land they connected with fighter jets as an escort. Caine described the junction as “a complex maneuver, which demanded exact synchronization of several platforms in a small area, everything made with minimum communications”.
Around 12.30, local time in Iran, an American submarine has launched over 20 Tomahawk missiles against surface infrastructure targets, while the main attack force enters the Iranian airspace.
Then other concealment techniques were used, supporting support plants before the high-speed bombing group, at high altitude to attract the attention of enemy aircraft and soil-air missiles.
As the B-2 aircraft group approached the Fortow and Natanz, support planes used high-speed missiles to ensure their safe passage.
“I kept the surprise element”
“At the moment we do not know how to have been drawn on the attack group at the entrance to Iran,” said Caine. Fill nuclear installation were hit at 02.10. The B-2 arm of the group launched two anti-bombs, followed by the other planes, the total number of bombs being 14. Other Tomahawk rockets launched on the American submarines, the targets being in the city of Isspahan.
“It's a huge bet and no one knows if it will be a winner.” The stakes of Trump's ordered attack on Iran
Subsequently, the bombers made their way back to the base of Missouri. There is no information on his return that Iran tried to respond. “Iran's hunting aircraft did not take off and it seems that soil-to-air missile systems did not see us during the mission. We kept the surprise element,” said Caine. “The operating operation that succeeded,” American officials said.
The Midnight Hammer operation used 125 aircraft in this mission: seven B-2 bombers, 4th and 5th generation fighter jets, dozens of supply aircraft, submarines and “a wide range” of surveillance and recognition aircraft.
The US forces used 75 guided projects, the 14 anti -good bombs representing the first operational use of this type of weapon.
Caine said that this was the biggest attack of B-2 bombers so far and that “no other army in the world could have done so.” The general claimed that only a few weeks have passed since the execution.
