In Krasnoyarsk, on Peace Square, workers mistakenly began to cut down a healthy Manchurian nut.
The contractor had to remove only emergency trees – their specialists counted seven: four rowan trees, two bird cherry trees and one birch tree. When the weather was right, the workers began the task, but confused the trees and began cutting down the nut.
As Krasgorpark reported, they managed to stop them thanks to caring Krasnoyarsk residents. The tree was damaged, but experts believe that the nut can be saved.
In addition, another Manchurian nut seedling will be additionally planted on Peace Square. The contractor who was negligent will be dealt with separately.
