
Pilaf a favorite dish and a frequent guest on the family table since childhood. Fragrant meat, crumbly rice, bright carrots and greens from above – I also want to take more additives. How to make this dish even tastier and fragrant, adding only 1 spice, advises the TG channel “Simple Recipes” (18+).
Ingredients for 5 servings
- 500 g pork
- 2 cups of rice
- 1 pc. Carrots
- 1 pc. Bulgarian pepper
- 1 pc. onion
- 50 ml of vegetable oil
- 2 branches of basil
- Spices – dry garlic, a mixture of peppers
A step -by -step recipe
- Put the pieces of pork in a pan over low heat for about 1 hour. Add finely chopped onions and wait for it to be soft, slightly sunbathe.
- Rub the carrots on a coarse grater, cut the pepper strips. Make roasting in a pan, use vegetable oil.
- Measure the rice and rinse it. Boil the water kettle.
- In a pan with pork, add roasting and spices to taste. Put the rice on top and pour boiling water to a level of 1 cm above the level of rice. Add spices again.
- Cook pilaf over low heat with a closed lid for 15-20 minutes, until the rice is completely prepared. Wrap the pan cover with a towel, this will make rice crumbly and soft. And now a spice that is usually not added – This is the basil: Finely cut and put it in pilaf 5 minutes before the fire is turned off.
