Russia reaffirmed on Saturday that there is no evidence that Iran aims to obtain nuclear weapons, Sky News Arabia reported, which quotes Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Russia, like the International Agency for Atomic Energy, has never had any evidence that Iran is preparing to obtain nuclear weapons, as we have notified the Israeli leadership repeatedly,” Putin said, according to the quoted post, writes Agerpres.
Russia is ready to support Iran for the development of a peaceful nuclear program, said the head of the Russian state. He added that the Tehran has the right to do this.
The hostilities between Israel and Iran entered the second week. The Israeli forces hit strategic targets inside Iran, while the Tehran responded with rockets and drones especially on Israeli cities Tel Aviv and Haifa.
Shortly after the first Israeli attack, launched on June 13, Iran rejected the accusation that he was about to produce a nuclear weapon, stating that his nuclear program is exclusively a civil character.
