“They are ripe, they are good to pick. I think in two days I get to pick “says Maria Sîrbu about the blueberries cultivated by her, according to the observer, who notes that business with these fruits are getting more and more roots in Romania.
The Romanian planted affini on 3,000 square meters and expects a consistent harvest and a tailor -made profit, given that he can sell the fruits – requested including for syrup, sweet or affined – with 40 lei per kilogram.
“I risked, it's a heavy culture. I currently work alone,” confesses the Romanian returned from Germany.
“Absolutely controls everything,” says another future blueberry producer
Like it there are many others who rely on blueberry culture.
The Spanish Guzman Apăcioică is also oriented towards the culture of affini, but at the pots, somewhere in Oltenia, after giving up saffron and blackberries.
His ambition is that, together with a Spanish investor who sells blueberries, to set up the largest affinity plantation in the country:
“In the pots, we know that it will produce perfectly. Why? Because everything is controlled, soil, water natural fertilizers.”
His fruits, which will be baked over three, four years on the fields and hills in Gorj will reach export, in Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain and France.
We recall that blueberries are rich in polyphenols, especially anthocyanins, who not only give them a vibrant color, but also support the health of the heart by reducing oxidative stress and inflammation, being considered “The elixir of youth”.

In addition, intestinal microbiome, which plays a crucial role in general health, can be positively influenced by blueberry polyphenols, according to Eathingwel.
Due to the high level of antioxidants, these fruits help to combat oxidative stress and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
