In Kansk, a criminal investigation was completed against a 18-year-old student accused of killing a newborn daughter (Article 106 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). They told about this in the SK of the region.
Recall that a terrible story occurred in February 2025. A college student at 38 weeks of pregnancy gave birth to a child in the toilet of the hostel. The girl deliberately left the baby in the toilet. Because of this, the newborn girl choked with water. Then the girl put the child’s body in a bag and threw it into garbage.
The forensic medical examination came to the conclusion that the child was born alive. The girl died due to drowning.
The body of the newborn was discovered by the girl’s neighbors who suspected that something was wrong with her. They talked about the hostel to the teacher. Then the girl was hospitalized. She told investigators that she did not know about pregnancy, and she took the process of childbirth for digestive problems.
“According to the results of a psychological and psychiatric examination, the accused did not reveal mental disorders, she realized the nature of the actions performed,” the SK of the region noted.
The criminal case was sent to the prosecutor to approve the indictment. The girl faces up to 5 years in prison.
