Kiev was the target of a new devastating attack from the Russian army. During the morning, the capital of Ukraine was bombed with fragmentation, a type of forbidden ammunition in many countries, designed to cause as many civil victims.
The Mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, announced on his Telegram channel that, after the attack at dawn, emergency services have discovered dispersion scraps in several areas of the city. According to him, Russian forces intentionally use such projectiles to cause maximum damage among the population.

The mayor harshly condemned the attacks, qualifying them as genocide: “The purpose is to die as many people as possible, which is why I use such ammunition by attacking a peaceful city. ”
Massive attack with rockets and drones
During the night, the Russian army launched a major attack on the capital, using rockets and drones. Ukraine's Interior Minister Ihor Klimenko announced that explosions have occurred in no less than 27 locations in Kiev.
The attack caused important damage. In several neighborhoods of the city, the power supply was interrupted. Klitschko explained that the interruption occurred due to the activation of the automatic electrical network protection system.
An American citizen lost his life
The victims of the attack include an American citizen, whose death has been officially confirmed. The Ukrainian authorities have not yet offered more details about the circumstances in which he lost his life.
The situation remains tense in the capital of Ukraine, while the local authorities continue to evaluate the damage and to ensure the safety of the population.
