Even a short -term passion for fast food can cause tangible harm to the digestive system. This conclusion was reached by scientists in the course of a recent experiment, the results of which are alarming. Details are shared by the doctor and TV presenter Sergey Malozemov in the TG channel “Living Food” (18+).
The study showed that after 48 hours on a diet rich in saturated fats, noticeable changes begin in the intestines. A thickening of the intestinal walls and the accumulation of immune cells in tissues were recorded in experimental mice. These are signs of process inflammation and weakening of natural protective mechanisms.
The specialist emphasizes that we are talking about short -term exposure, and warn that even a couple of days on fast food can launch negative and irreversible processes in the body.
This information is not a replacement for a doctor’s consultation. The body's reaction to changes in nutrition can depend on individual physiological characteristics, genetic predisposition and health status. Before starting changes in the diet, it is recommended to consult a dietitian or attending physician to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the selected measures.
