In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the former spouses from Kuragino went to the colony for fraud on an especially large scale when receiving payments.

It was established that in 2015, a 32-year-old man invited his ex-wife and friend to create an organized group for theft of budget money-a regional subsidy for the construction of housing in rural areas. At the same time, the attackers patiently prepared for the implementation of the criminal scheme and began active actions only after 5 years.

“During this time, they registered a fictitious peasant farm for the“ employment ”of future recipients of payments. They found 33 socially unprotected residents who agreed to participate in the scam. Empty land were picked up and used the housing of relatives to create the appearance of need, ”the prosecutor’s office says. – In order to deceive the state, the criminal group artificially created all the conditions for their “wards” for obtaining subsidies: opened bank accounts, entered into fictitious contracts and submitted forgery for housing construction to the Ministry. After transferring the money, they assigned bOthe most part of the funds. As a result, the state budget lost 4.3 million rubles – money intended to help the real needy. ”

At the trial, the defendants began to justify themselves, stating that they simply “helped people get payments.” But these arguments were recognized unconvincing.

Under Part 4 of Art. 159.2 of the Criminal Code The court sentenced the organizer of the criminal scheme to 4 years in prison, and his accomplice – to 2 years. They will serve his sentence in a general regime colony. The criminal case against the third person involved is suspended, he is undergoing military service.
