Iran's continuous rocket attacks on Israel show that Tehran's forces can be regrouped even after Israel killed more military commanders in its initial attack, an analyst for CNN said.

“They (the Israelis) underestimated the Iranian ability to regroup after the Israelis aimed successfully with the peak leadership of the Iranian army and managed to kill more of them,” said Trita Parsi, vice -president of Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, a Think Tank specialized in the United States.

  • Trita Parsi is a Swedish writer and activist of Iranian origin, co-founder and executive vice-president of Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, as well as a founder and former president of the national Iranian American Council.

Parsi said that Israel believed that he “disturbed the command and Iranian control”, but this idea was “resolved quickly”.

What we see now is that “Iranian missiles manage to penetrate all the layers of Israel's air defense systems,” Parsi said.

Parsi spoke for CNN while new waves of Iranian missiles rained in the early hours of Monday and hit several locations.

The number of victims increases on both sides, as Iran and Israel extend their attacks. The residents of Tehran are trying to leave the capital in search of safety, while in Israel explosions and fires were observed during the night, the residential buildings being hit.
