Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Ukraine provided billions of dollars of military and humanitarian aid provided Ukraine. According to the Kiloan Institute of World Economy, EU members donated approx. EUR 137 billion (approx. 580 billion 800 million PLN), and the United States 114 billion euros (approx. 480 billion 600 million PLN).
– The whole weapon must be destroyed – Tarzko told the Russian newspaper “Izwestia”. – There are international procedures in this area. This weapon should be reduced, eliminated and inspected – he added.
Gruszko stated that Western weapon sent to Ukraine is a long -term threat not only to Russia, but also to the West. He compared this situation to the supply of Stinger missiles by the United States for Afghan fighters in the 1980s, which later went to global black markets.
“Despite this story, it is shocking how reckless some politicians are today,” said Gruszko. “They still flood the weapon market, knowing that corruption will spread it all over the world, including back to Europe,” he said.
Russia's demands are part of a wider proposal to suspend the weapons presented in the government memorandum. Russian leader Vladimir Putin stated, that the suspension of all supplies of weapons to Ukraine is a preliminary condition for peace.
In addition to stopping foreign military assistance Russia is demanding from Ukraine a limitation of the number of armed forces and weapons supply and solutions to “nationalist formations” in the army and the National Guard.
Moscow also demands that Kiev recognizes the annexation of Crimea, as well as her claims to four additional partially occupied circuits – Donetski, Lugansk, Chero and Zaporoski – and withdrew the army from these areas.
Moscow also requires Ukraine from refusal to join any military alliances and accepting foreign troops and bases on their territory.
According to the Kremlin, Ukraine must confirm its status of a state without nuclear weaponsguarantee the rights of Russian -speaking citizens – in this Russian language the status of the official language – and to endure all sanctions imposed on Russia.
The President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelanski rejected the Russian memorandum as “ultimatum”, which “no one will take seriously”.
Despite the conditions of Russia, many of which probably have no chance of realization, Putin told US President Donald Trump during a recent telephone conversation that Russia is open to continuing negotiations with Ukraine after June 22.
