Government reconstruction? There will be a new deputy minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs


During the program, the journalist asked the minister about possible staff changes in his ministry in the context of the upcoming reconstruction of the government. Currently, six deputy ministers have in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and earlier there were seven.
– There were seven, at the moment there are six, so even if it is seven again, it is a return to normal – said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The journalist did not give up and asked to clarify whether a new, seventh deputy minister could be expected. – Yes, from tomorrow MP Marcin Bosacki will take the function of deputy minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – confirmed the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
An important role
The deputy minister of foreign affairs serves as one of the minister's most important collaborators and participates in the management of the foreign policy of the state.
His duties depend on the specific division of competences within the ministrybut usually include supervising selected departments and thematic areas, such as bilateral (bilateral) relations with specific regions of the world, European matters, security policy, consular issues, developmental cooperation or economic diplomacy.
Deputy minister can represent Poland during international meetingsnegotiate contracts and agreements, as well as participate in EU works and international organizations.
It is also not uncommon for the spokesman for the ministry in dealing with the media or during parliamentary meetings. In the ministry structure, he is a person responsible for current decisions and executive actions, as well as a key link in the process of implementing the strategic assumptions of the state's foreign policy.
