European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson reported this in an article for the British newspaper Financial Times.
Simson added that “to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine,” Western countries should help repair damaged facilities, donate small decentralized generators, deploy photovoltaic systems on the roofs of hospitals and schools, gradually increase electricity exports to Ukraine and strengthen the country’s air defense.
