Escalation of tensions in the Middle East
On the night of Saturday to Sunday between Israel and Iran, there were mutual attacks. The Iranian state television said that the launched rockets and drones hit military goals in Israel. In turn, the Israeli “Haarec” informs that at least five people were killed as a result of the attack.
Meanwhile, Israel hit two fuel warehouses, located around the capital of Iran, Tehran. According to witnesses, there were powerful fires on the spot. “Tehran is burning,” Israel Katz, an Israeli defense minister, announced in social media.
On the other hand, Israeli media reports that the army attacked Yemeni Huti. The purpose of the impact was to be Abdul Karim al-Ghamari, the leader of their military wing. However, the military do not confirm these reports.
Military parade in the USA in the shadow of protests
A military parade took place in the capital of the United States to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the US land forces. The event was attended by, among others President Donald Trump together with his wife Melania. The parade was graced by a show of military equipment: Abrams tanks, Himars artillery systems and Black Hawk helicopters. The anniversary of the US land forces coincided with Trump's 79th birthday.
Meanwhile, in many American cities there were protests under the slogan “No Kings” (“No Kings”), against the presidency of Trump. One person was shot in Salt Lake City. She is seriously injured.
