Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent to the Iranians on Friday night that it was time to unite and fight for freedom, in front of a regime that he called “evil and oppressive”, according to the BBC.
“The time has arrived for the Iranian people to unite around its flag and historical inheritance, rising for freedom,” said Netanyahu.
The head of the Government of Jerusalem said that the recent attacks launched by Israel aimed to “neutralize the nuclear and ballistic threat” represented by the Tehran regime. Netanyahu said that military and nuclear targets were hit and warned that other attacks follow: “The regime does not know what to hit and does not know what to hit. It was never weaker.”
Netanyahu insisted that Israel did not fight against the Iranian people, but against the leadership of Tehran. “This is your opportunity to make your voices heard,” he told the Iranians, adding: “As we reach our goal, we open the way to freedom.”
On Thursday night, Israel attacked Iran's nuclear installations, Iranian ballistic missiles and Iranian military commanders, as described to be the beginning of an operation to prevent Tehran from building an atomic bomb.
In response, on Friday night, Iran launched two waves of ballistic missiles on Friday night, the IRNA state news agency announced. According to an Israeli military official, about 100 missiles were launched in the first wave. Shortly after, a second missile attack was announced.
“Our revenge has just begun, they will pay a high price for killing the commanders, scientists and our people,” a high -ranking Iranian official said.
