Romania, a dramatic match at the European Youth. Blănuță's error deprived us of the greatest result in history
Romania was a few minutes from the most prestigious result in history, in youth, leading Spain to 1-0 until the 85th minute. The Iberians, who dominate this age category, scored two goals at the end, immediately after Vladslav Blănuță left his team in 10 people, taking a direct red card after a harsh fault. With two defeats in the first two parties at Euro 2025 U21, the tricolors are 99% eliminated from the competition in Slovakia.

Louis Munteanu opened the scoring after only 4 minutes of play, after which Spain threw himself in the attack. Daniel Pancu's students resisted heroically in the first half, when the Iberians missed a penalty.
