Over the past week alone, 116 residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory transferred more than 24 million rubles to fraudsters. Such statistics are shared by the regional prosecutor's office in a traditional summary.

So, the victim of a major deception became 80-year-old pensioner. At the end of May, Krasnoyarsk was called an “Central Bank employee” and convinced her to transfer all savings to “Safe score” to protect them from scammers. Soon the second call followed – now on behalf of the false representative of Rosfinmonitoring. The woman was informed that someone allegedly wants to illegally arrange her apartment, so she needs to confirm her residence there and the intention to remain the owner of housing.

Following the instructions of the scammers, the victim phoned the video from the False Worker of the Central Bank and, including the screen demonstration, was included in the applications of mobile banks. That is how the series of financial transactions began: the Krasnoyarsk had to repeatedly visit banking offices and withdraw money from deposits and accounts.

Two days later, the cyber abundant forced the woman to pay a ransom in order to protect herself from crimes. To do this, a pensioner had to borrow money from friends. The woman realized what happened only a week later.

According to her, at that time she did not even suspect how seriously she suffered. The total amount of damage was 3.2 million rubles. A criminal case has been opened.

Since the beginning of the year, 4219 residents of the region have become victims of the Internet. The damage caused amounted to more than 1 billion rubles.
