The US Secretary of State wishes to the Russians. “I would like to congratulate”

“On behalf of the American people, I would like to congratulate the Russian people on the occasion of Russia's Day. The United States is still involved in supporting the Russian people, which continues to implement their aspirations to a brighter future,” wrote the Secretary of State of the USA in the statement issued.
The American Secretary of State also added that the US is ready to take up “constructive commitment to dialogue” with the Russian Federation to achieve a lasting room between Russia and Ukraine. He noted that such a room would favor the construction of more favorable relations between the two countries.
This year's wishes have been the first to the State Department for three years on the occasion of the Russian National Dayo. The last time such an initiative was taken by Antony Blinken in 2022, although his message differed in the tone. At that time, Blinken expressed hope for a “peaceful and open future” for the Russians, while strongly criticizing the Kremlin's policy, including repression against civil society, media censorship and silencing information about Russian warfare in Ukraine.
Russia's Day, celebrated on June 12, commemorates the proclamation of Russia's sovereignty in 1990. Officially, it was recognized in 1994.
