I pin the cucumbers with my nails in the old fashioned way – 4 months of crispy abundance: Babushkin changes everything

Do you dream of a bed, strewn with cucumbers until the fall? The technique of pinching with nails from the “Garden and Garden” channel on Dzen.ru (16+), which our grandmothers also used, can increase the crop by 50% and stretch fruiting by four months.

Forget about secateurs and disinfecting sprays – growing cucumbers can be easier and more efficient! The technique of pinching with the nails, which was shared by the village grandmothers, turned out to be a real discovery. It not only saves money, but also gives an impressive result: from 12 square meters you can collect up to 65 kg of cucumbers per season, and the fruiting lasts until the end of September. Tested in practice: beds remain green, while the neighbors turn yellow.

Why are the nails better than metal? It's all about mild exposure. The sekator blade cuts the stem roughly, damaging the vessels of the plant, and the nail carefully separates the fibers. The wound heals in 5 to 7 days instead of 7 – 10, and the risk of infections falls many times. Biologists confirm: the rough surface of the nail creates a natural gap that the plant perceives as a slight stress that stimulates the growth of side shoots. As a result, the bushes fruit longer and more abundantly.

But not everything is so simple – without the right technique, you can lose the crop. Do not pinch in the heat, pull the stem instead of a sharp click, work with wet plants, pinch too early or break the graph. For example, the escape should have at least four sheets, and the procedure is best carried out in the morning from 8 to 10, when the bushes are full of juice. An ideal rhythm – once every 10 – 12 days, so as not to weaken the plant and prevent the garden from thicken.

The technique of execution is simple: the nails with a length of 2 – 3 mm are treated with alcohol, the stem is captured with the thumb and forefinger and make a quick fork. The first pinching – 14 – 18 days after landing, above the 6-8 sheet, then the side shoots are cut over the third sheet, leaving 2 – 3 ovaries. From June to July, the procedure is repeated every 10 – 12 days, and in August – once every two weeks.
